Maine Air National Guard – Various Paving
Work consisted of reconstruction and paving of four locations: Main Gate, Building 420 (Parking Area), Building 510 (Building Area) and Glenn Avenue. The projects required extensive scheduling and coordination due to ongoing base activities. Testing, documentation, traffic control, daily and weekly meetings were critical to project coordination. Pavement and sub-base was removed with careful consideration for existing utilities. Drainage concerns were evaluated and addressed. The corrected sub-base and geo-textile were installed and compacted. The HMA placement was performed according to specifications and turf was established in surrounding areas. In addition, retaining walls, concrete walkways, pavement markings and signage were installed.
