Chevron Reclamation Area Building Demolition
The work included an extensive safety plan to be submitted to Chevron for review and approval. This also included a site plan with a step by step process to remove buildings and a traffic control plan. Equipment and containers were mobilized to remove debris and metal. Buildings were removed methodically and materials were sorted – metal hauled to a specified recycling center and dirt, broken concrete and other debris was sent to a specified landfill. All protrusions in existing concrete foundation was removed using a hoe ram attachment and metal was cut using an acetylene torch. A Special Hot Work Permit was needed from Chevron prior to any open flame work performed. The area was inspected and signed off as exceeding expectations for Chevron.
