VAMC Concrete Renovations

This project included construction, demolition, excavation and installation/replacement of ramps, stairs, sidewalks and railings on 13 areas throughout the facility. All work met ADA requirements and stringent protocols and coordination with pedestrian traffic. Comprehensive quality control was administered from start to finish concerning demolition, excavation, sub-base prep, concrete mix design, forming, concrete pour/testing and finish work.

Project Details

• Work area designation, traffic flow, erosion control and signage
• Demo existing railing and concrete, testing of sub-base & sub base
  shim
• Form and pour concrete ADA ramps/sidewalk – finish to specs
• Concrete testing and curing
• Bore and install new railings and grout
• Excavation and demo of existing stairs
• Sub-base testing, shim of sub-base and install new pre-cast
  stairs
• From and pour new concrete stair landing
• Loam disturbed areas, fertilize and over seed
